Technician

What will you be doing?

• Support the Technical Management Team in the delivery of all aspects of the technical offer including theatre, cinema and community events.
• Work with the Technical Management Team to ensure all visiting productions, hires and events are adequately supported and their technical requirements met.
• Support the Technical Management Team in the implementation of policies and plans for the technical department ensuring that all technical equipment is kept up to date, compliant and fit-for-purpose; undertaking any necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner as required.
• Ensure all aspects of statutory Health and Safety compliance across the building are implemented with particular attention to areas relating to stages, screens and auditoria as directed by Technical Manager.

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

• Experience of working in a technical team within an arts or cultural setting.
• Good general knowledge of technical theatre including lighting, sound and stagecraft. 
• Comfortable with a range of technical theatre software applications including CAD, Q-lab etc.
• Experience of programming and use of ETC EOS systems, DiGiCo systems, DANTE and Art-Net/sACN would be desirable.
